11:7 And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?		7:24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
11:8 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft [clothing] are in kings' houses.		7:25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
11:9 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.		7:26 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
11:10 For this is [he,] of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.		7:27 This is [he,] of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.		7:28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
		7:29 And all the people that heard [him,] and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. 7:30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 11:14 And if ye will receive [it,] this is Elias, which was for to come. 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
11:16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation?		7:31 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
11:16 It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,		7:32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another,
11:17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.		7:32 and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.		7:33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners.		7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
11:19 But wisdom is justified of her children.		7:35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.
