12:12 On the next day |
20:29 And as they departed from Jericho, | 10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples | 18:35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, |
20:29 a great multitude followed him. | 10:46 and a great number of people, |
20:30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, | 10:46 blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. | 18:35 a certain blind man sat by the way side begging: |
18:36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
18:37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. |
20:30 when they heard that Jesus passed by, | 10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, |
20:30 cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, [thou] son of David. | 10:47 he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, [thou] son of David, have mercy on me. | 18:38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, [thou] son of David, have mercy on me. |
20:31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, [thou] son of David. | 10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, [Thou] son of David, have mercy on me. | 18:39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, [Thou] son of David, have mercy on me. |
20:32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, | 10:49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. | 18:40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: |
10:49 And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. |
10:50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. |
18:40 and when he was come near, |
20:32 and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? | 10:51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? |
18:40 he asked him,
18:41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? |
20:33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. | 10:51 The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. | 18:41 And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. |
20:34 So Jesus had compassion [on them,] and touched their eyes: | 10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. | 18:42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. |
20:34 and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. | 10:52 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. | 18:43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, |
18:43 glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw [it,] gave praise unto God. |

19:1 And [Jesus] entered and passed through Jericho.
19:2 And, behold, [there was] a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. 19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. 19:4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that [way.] 19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. 19:6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. 19:7 And when they saw [it,] they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. 19:8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore [him] fourfold. 19:9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. 19:11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 19:12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this [man] to reign over us. 19:15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 19:16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 19:18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. 19:19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. 19:20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, [here is] thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: 19:21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. 19:22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, [thou] wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: 19:23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? 19:24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give [it] to him that hath ten pounds. 19:25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) 19:26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay [them] before me. 19:28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. |
21:1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, | 11:1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, | 19:29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called [the mount] of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, |
21:2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose [them,] and bring [them] unto me. | 11:2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring [him.] | 19:30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against [you;] in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring [him hither.] |
21:3 And if any [man] say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. | 11:3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. | 19:31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose [him?] thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. |
21:6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, | 11:4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. | 19:32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. |
11:5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? | 19:33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? |
11:6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go. | 19:34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him. |
21:7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set [him] thereon. | 11:7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. | 19:35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. |
21:8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strowed [them] in the way. | 11:8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strowed [them] in the way. | 19:36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way. |
12:12 much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, |
21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. |
11:9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
11:10 Blessed [be] the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. |
19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
19:38 Saying, Blessed [be] the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. |
12:13 and cried, Hosanna: Blessed [is] the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. |
19:39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. |
19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
19:42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things [which belong] unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. 19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. |
11:11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: |
21:10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
21:11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. |
11:11 and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve. |
21:4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. |
12:14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
12:15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. |
12:16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and [that] they had done these things unto him. |
12:17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
12:18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle. 12:19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him. |
